My name is Lisa Lawrence. This is my Home Renovation Blog site!!!
A bit about my family and our West Kelowna Home Renovation:
- As of July 2023, my husband Chad, our son Riley & I live in West Kelowna!
- We moved here in November 2017 from Langley, BC when the place we had there had us realizing that we needed more out of life… and the Kelowna area was calling.
- Our current home on Vector Drive has amazing 180 degree lake views on more than 1/2 an acre right up from the Wine Trail.
- When we moved to the house we knew we were going to take on a bit of a beast as the basement was unfinished but it was full of potential mainly because the walkout basement also had great views of the lake.
- The total scope of the building started in December 2017, and finished top-to-bottom in April 2023.
Our “loose” plan of attack:
- We wanted to start on the upper level first because we would be able to work underneath from the basement when we changed up spaces. Re-working the upper floor plan was really required because the flow was a bit odd:
For example, when stepping into the house you would have first seen a closet/wall blocking the amazing Okanagan lake views. - Next, we enlisted a fairly popular TV show at the time, “Love It or List It Vancouver” who was filming their last season in Kelowna Area because Jillian Harris was focused on being Mom to her 2 young children.
- Lastly, we had more to do to complete what we started on the upper level, before putting the place on the market in May 2023.
Now that you have seen a glimpse of some fame, and some fortune (IE. what we spent on the total home renovation HAHA). I will take the time to go BACK in time to highlight our journey to date,
